    • @HolisticEnchilada

      I don't worry about using CG approved spray. If you have silky hair it won't be a problem.

      Mousse will not be as light as foam, and foam will give more texture. So it's possible mousse can make your scalp feel greasy.

    Hi Delilah. Almost everything you explained applies to my hair and my preferences! From scalp sensitivity, cowlicks, fine hair, avoiding fragrances, needing to humidity proof (I live in south coastal Florida.) I've been getting good results from using these products: Innersense color awakening shampoo and conditioner, Innersense moisture mask (occasionally), no leave-in conditioner. Then, Curlsmith heat protectant (new to me but first application worked great to protect and encourage curl.) It has a light fragrance which did not linger. I sprayed it on my hands to help control the amount I used. Then, Giovanni LA Hold gel (fairly generous amount mixed with a pea size amount of Curlsmith strong hold shine gel (unscented) and drops of water. Then scrunch and diffuse. I'm looking forward to trying some of the products you used in the video! Your hair looks lovely and healthy!

      @@HolisticEnchilada the shine gel alone leaves my hair weighed down, but a pea sized amount mixed with LA Hold gives me a bit of shine without the heavy feeling. These are great type of videos to educate individuals understand ingredients and formulations. Most people just regurgitate what others say without actual proof. They should assess their own results based on their own hair type. What works for one doesn’t always mean it’ll work for another, especially if you live in a humid climate.

      Thanks! I agree with you, and unfortunately it creates a lot of unnecessary confusion.

      @@HolisticEnchilada exactly. Unnecessary confusion. Which is why people feel overwhelmed when they try to style their hair curly.

    Interested in trying but what shampoo and conditioner did you combine with this? Did it hold up in Florida weather? Love the results on you.

      Thanks! I used the Nizoral dandruff shampoo and EVOLVh SmartCurl conditioner on this wash day. It has been fine in this weather though it's not really humid, just hot. We are in a drought right now. I think for the real humidity, I'd probably need to top it off with another gel like Spiralicious. I noticed it does get a little stretched out as the days pass but refreshing with a tiny dab of this gel or adding some texture on wash day with a different product fixes that.

    I love your hair! I have also been experimenting with Curl Memory and I enjoy the results. Next day, I usually add a little Evolvh Total Control Styling Cream. Next time I’m considering using a little of both products in one wash day. Just wondering about the humidity and would I add a gel like Twist Up Weather gel instead of Evolvh? What would you recommend? Could I get away with using Curl Memory and topping with a gel to fight against humidity?

    • @HolisticEnchilada
      @HolisticEnchilada 25 днів тому

      I think for the humidity adding another gel on top is probably going to work best. You want to seal it in with something that has humidity resistant ingredients and the EVOLVh cream doesn't have that.

    I love that gel but I still have to layer it with another gel.

      I can see that. I think pairing it with a hard hold gel would make it even better.

    I saw this product on Ulta's site a while ago but it was sold out and then I forgot all about it. It looks like it's worth trying, though!

      It's an optional product in the same category as creams. Most people need one.

    I recently picked up this product on sale and I'm obsessed. The cast on this gel is unlike anything I've ever used on my curls. I scrunched out the crunch with a tiny bit of oil and the cast stayed intact which doesn't usually happen with other gels. I get curls that last til my next washday and don't usually have to refresh except with water. Thanks for reviewing this amazing product

    How is your volume with this product?

    • @HolisticEnchilada
      @HolisticEnchilada 28 днів тому

      It's decent. It leaves hair really soft which is not ideal for volume. So it relaxes the curl over time. I'm going to try pairing with this their volume foam and see if that works.

    Thank you for making this video! I’ve been thinking about trying these, but the price and fact that other clips don’t work in my hair held me back from ordering before. I just placed my order!

    I want to love curlsmith but like you I don't like feeling product and just can't get my head round diffusing and a cast as I prefer to blow-dry my wavy hair with a round brush and curlsmith stylers don't seem to do that well. If anyone has found a good curlsmith combo for doing this please let me know.😊

    I had no idea that Bounce Curl was selling these clips! I might have to try them since I've never been able to get any root lift with other clips in the past.
